According to Apple’s product launch cycle, the next generation iPad is supposed to be announced in the coming weeks. And leaked images, speculations and lost devices should not come as a surprise in progressing days. One such leaked image of what is presumed to be the display of next generation iPad is leaked in a Korean forum, discovered by Macrumors.com.
In extension to its current epithetic, the next generation of Apple’s tablet is speculated to be named iPad 3. The leaked image above is a Retina display claimed to be the one which would be used in iPad 3. In comparison, the leaked display has 3 connectors against 2 connectors in display of iPad 2, while both happen to be 9.7″ diagonally. iPad 3 is also rumored to have a higher resolution of 2048×1536 pixels.
No other details are known for now. Also, weather the above leaked image is a real or fake cannot be confirmed until we get an official word from Apple. The good thing is we are just weeks away from that official announcement. Apple is expected to launch the iPad 3 in Q1 2012.
