Dell Streak Pro gets WiFi certification

The Dell Streak Pro recently visited wi-fi.org to get Wi-Fi interoperability certified. The certifications confirms that the tablet would be called Streak 10 Pro and features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. Still unannounced, the tablet would soon join the market with its younger sisters Dell Streak and Dell Streak 7.

Apart from a 10″ display, rumored specs suggest that it would be powered by Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 T20 processor and Android Honeycomb. Other speculations suggest 1GB RAM,dual cameras (5MP rear and 2MP front), Bluetooth 2.1, microSD support (upto 32GB internal storage) and  AT&T’s 4G LTE radio. Dell Streak Pro is expected to go official in June.

10 incher Dell Streak Pro leaked in pictures

Dutch website Tweakers.net has released pictures of what they claim to be the next tablet offering from Dell. Dubbed, Dell Streak Pro, the tablet would be Dell’s first 10″ offering. The leaked specs suggest dual-core Tegra 2 T20 processor which clocks at 1GHz. The tablet would run Android Honeycomb, 3.0 or 3.1 is unconfirmed. It would have a 1GB RAM, 5MP rear and 2MP front facing camera, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, microSD support and dual microphones. It is also rumored to support AT&T’s 4G LTE radio.

The tablet, if it comes to the market, would be available in three capacity variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and four color options of black, pink, blue and red. Dell already offers 5″ Streak and 7″ Streak 7. With the 10 incher, Dell would have something for every size segment of tablet buyers. The rumor claims an early June launch, which means the official announcement would be happening soon.

Dell Venue Pro hits AT&T for $99.99

Dell Venue Pro has been available contract-free with T-Mobile and AT&T in the US. Dell is now offering the it carrier subsidized on AT&T. The phone is available in three capacity variants. The 8GB version is available for $99, 16GB for $149 and a 32GB model for $199, with the 2 year contract.

On the specs front, the Dell Venue Pro boasts of a 1GHz processor, 4.1″ WVGA AMOLED multi-touch display and is powered by Windows Phone 7 OS. It is a slider with physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard underneath. Other specs include 5MP camera with auto-focus, LED flash and 720p video recording and connectivity options of WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and USB 2.0. It comes with various built-in apps including Microsoft’s exclusive Mobile Office and Xbox Live.

Dell Streak 7 hits shelves in UK, priced £299

Dell’s 7 incher Streak is now out for sale in UK. The WiFi only tablet is available for a price tag of £299. Streak 7 is the successor of Streak 5 which was more of a large smartphone than a small tablet. Dell soon adopted the industry standard and launched the 7 incher Android tablet at CES 2011.

Dell Streak 7 is powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor. The 7″ capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It has dual cameras with 5 MP rear and 1.3 MP front snapper. The tablet comes with Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS connectivity.

Only disappointing feature of the Dell Streak 7 is that it runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), with Dell Stage UI built over it. Dell promises over the air upgrade, but doesn’t promise if it would be Honeycomb.
