Bluestacks to bring Android to PC

Android is going places. If Google’s open OS can power cellphones, fixed-line phones, tablets, TV or even Robots, then why not Windows PCs. Well, the software here doesn’t actually ‘power’ them, but definitely brings some Android love to your Windows 7 PCs.

Bluestacks is a Windows software that brings Android visualization to Windows desktops and notebooks. The software runs a virtual Android OS and runs almost any Android app on PC. It acts like any other Windows app and does not require a dual boot. For apps, Bluestar offers Amazon App Store (No support for Android Market as of now). Bluestar is currently in its test phase and is expected to be available sometime in 2012.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to own a Windows 7 tablet two-timing Android using Bluestack. Now, why exactly would someone want a ‘touch-based’ OS to run on a PC? Blind Android love, I say.
